Gravel Roofs

Gravel roofs can range from 1 – 4 plies of alternating bitumen (asphalt and/or coal tar) and reinforced fabrics that create a finished membrane. The surface for these roof system can be exposed aggregate such as gravel, slag, and mineral granules. Gravel roof systems have been around for over 100 years and there are many variations types using different materials and application methods. Some of the more common gravel systems are TPO, EPDM, and PVC.

Single Ply

These single ply membranes are constructed fromrubber rolls that are hot-air welded at the seams. They is highly resistant to tears, impacts, and punctures with good flexibility to allow for building movement. They can be fully adhered to the roof deck, mechanically –attached, or ballasted. Common roof materials include TPO, EPDM, and PVC.

Coated Roof

Coatings are used to add on a layer of protection, durability, and extend the roof life. It can be applied to your existing roof and lower heating and cooling costs when a reflective coating is used. This application is a good candidate if you are considering prolonging the roof life.
