A proper cleaning is more than running a hand along the trough and pulling out the obvious clumps. We work the full run and confirm it drains before we leave.

- Flush the gutters and downspouts with water to confirm drainage is clear and the pitch is working
- Check that downspouts are draining to daylight rather than backing up
